I will not be voting for you, irrespective of Jan Schakowsky's endorsement. You should never have run for mayor this last time, since you were going to throw your hat into the ring for her seat. I'm very disappointed in the lack of regard or respect you have shown Evanstonians in this regard as well as a number of things you've done during your tenure as mayor. I had great hopes for you, but you have lost my support.
Dear Mayor Biss. You've been good at standing up against ICE. However, I am now a single issue voter. Will you condemn Netanyahu and Israel's Genocide of Palestine? I will vote for Kat Abughazaleh unless you come out and condemn Netanyahu and the Genocide.
This is a sincere question to you, Brad, and not an attempt to get into an argument. With everything going on in the United States, why would the only issue on which you would base your choice for our representative to the US House of Representatives be the abhorrent behavior of Netanyahu and Israel's treatment of Palestinians? I do not want to minimize your beliefs, but don't understand why it is the only factor and would like to try to. Thanks.
Good question. There are about half a dozen issues that I think are catastrophic. True, ICE/CBP/DHS and the regime's total disregard for the Constitution and the law is deplorable. Mayor Biss already seems to be on board with fighting that, although not as strongly as Kat is.
The illegal attack on Venezuela and threats against Greenland and Mexico are also abhorrent. Climate change is still an existential threat that is probably already too late to fix. The sellout of the Democratic Party to corporations and tech bros is another huge issue and part of all of this.
But I think the sellout of the Democratic Party to AIPAC and pretending a genocide is not a genocide edges out all these as the worst injustice. So many corporate Democrats and even some who seem to aspire to progressivism, like Biss, do not say anything about the Genocide of Palestine. I want Mayor Biss to do something that proves he's not going to be just another sellout to AIPAC and the tech bros like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries have turned out to be.
"Never again" applies to Palestine or it applies nowhere. Sadly, it has applied nowhere to date. Not Rwanda, not Darfur and now not Palestine.

Actually, I have a shorter answer. Because it's genocide. No decent person should have to go further than that.
