It was touching to be a part of The Race Against Hate in Evanston this year. The annual event is the largest racial justice run/walk event of its kind in the nation, bringing together thousands of people from all over Chicagoland and beyond to move in unity against racial hatred and violence. There’s something powerful about spending Father’s Day running alongside neighbors and strangers who all believe the same thing: that when we stand up in unity for love and acceptance, we win.
To all the dads out there teaching the next generation what it looks like to lead with love, Happy Father’s Day!
